How to post mass-rating lists

Post by DeanC_UK » Thu Feb 03, 2011 11:52 am

Today we added a new tag to our forum designed to make the posting of long lists of URLS a bit cleaner without making the page longer.

To use this tag simply wrap your url list in the new tags:

Code: Select all

<massrate></massrate>

If you plan on using the color tags such as then ensure that they are inside the new

List of domains/hosts

Here is an example of how it looks:

Good. But could it be possible to add sth. that put a link to the scorecard under the domain?

phantazm did this once and it could be useful for non mass rating users.

Example:

example.com
example.net
example.de

should become
example.com
example.net
example.de

You did a nice job making the two sticky-ed threads a bit more prevalent. :)

Hmmm. This could be used on the on thread about the fake pharmacy sites. The list is so long...

RE: errors on mywot - no place to notify support

I am new to your site, there appears to be no place to actually contact support (at least, I do not have the time to hunt for it). I added several sites to WOT yesterday and noticed that all of the screenshot images are dramatically out of focus and thought I should bring this to your attention. Sorry for posting non-related content here, but, I have found no other place to contact you about it. See, tipreport.com or otclinks.com to see out-of-focus screen shots.

Again, i apologize for posting here out of context to the subject matter.

Better yet...

default to "no text"

incorporate a user defined "title"
example:

Code: Select all

<massrate title="Spamvertised domains">
<red>
example1.com
...
example100.com
</red>
</massrate>

[EDIT]
I've noticed, in my view port, the quantity of domains displayed within the scroll box is 10.
I think I'll use that when determining if

List of domains/hosts

should be applied:
1 - 10 domains = not used
11 or more, tag incorporated.

Thanks!

Nice container to force the vertical scroll bar.
This will keep from having excessively long posts to scroll through

I'll edit a few recent posts, but some may require that Staff edit them; Canadian Pharmacy and Pharmacy Express are a couple which comes to mind. ;-)

[EDIT]
Could you drop the List of URLs label?
First these are not URLs, they are simple domain names
Second, it distracts from the post's content / discussion.
Third, though intended for "lists" it could also be used for long replies, to keep initial page view "orderly"
/me looks over at BobJam ;)

Nice touch, and I agree it could be used for posts over 1000 words or so as well.

Bobjam isn't the only loquacious person here either... (looks in mirror)

Also I agree with the sticky comment. I immediately noticed it when I hit the forum page.
