Please rate based on your own opinions of the sites trustworthiness, vendor reliability, privacy, child safety and not the opinions of others.

Echo !!

But using some trusted resources would help more...

When you are going to rate any website you must analyze it before before making any comment.... Providing your analysis base and outputs would be great and helpful for site owners in fixing issues.

Yes i give enough time to the site which i am reviewing and rating. i rate accordingly if i found site completely fine i give my positive rating but when i found something irrelevant i gave poor rating. This is my way to rate the site as of now

My favorite website has received a negative WOT rating from someone that does not agree with the content on this site. It has nothing to do with the safety of the site. This site does not sell anything or collect any information. I rely on the WOT ratings to keep me safe from unscrupulous websites that run scams. I wouldn't try to ruin a websites reputation because I don't agree with the content. The person that made the negative review just signed up for WOT today and has negatively rated 12 websites with the same reason. Would this be considered spam? It seems really unfair and makes me question the value of WOT if this is what counts as fairly rating a website.

Welcome
your are slightly off topic, but it doesn't matter.

I honestly doubt that a new member or more can turn a site scorecard into red, read why please

If you suspect a scorecard manipulation attempt please contact mywot administrators

Sorry about being off topic.. wasn't sure where to post. The negative score was yellow not red, but yellow still deters me from visiting some websites. I think I was frustrated last evening seeing that yellow rating and when I looked at the comment related to the rating it set me off a bit. Then when I looked at the posters history of ratings, 12 sites on the first day he/she signed up for WOT, I felt that this person's ratings were malicious.
Thank you very much for the information links. I will contact the website owner and let him follow up. This experience has certainly made me question the value of a yellow rating. If one negative comment can have that effect on a website's trustworthiness seems off, especially when the rating is based on personal opinion and not on the safety of the website.
Thanks again
Suz
