Snopes in danger of closing

Seems their contract ran out with an outside vendor, and now that vendor refuses to hand over Snopes to their rightful owners, now running ads on the site but not paying the Snopes editors.

I sent them something.
Though the owners are not perfect people, I believe this site does far more good than many other sites.

Snopes is a valuable service, but this seems more along the lines of "Hostile divorce with custody dispute" than "Snopes in danger of being shut down." Though it does look like it might devolve into "I'd rather kill it than let the ex have it." (There are other complications, but this seems to be a major factor here.)
