Thoughts on The New Yahoo Mail

Post by Satchman » Wed Oct 09, 2013 10:14 pm

Greetings WOT,

Yahoo Mail changed several looks and features to their interface today. The feedback responses from users have been OVERWHELMINGLY negative. I am providing this topic with a link below to Yahoo Mail Help for information about the new updates:

It does seem to run pretty quick, and it is nice they didn't move the buttons all around.

I haven't looked at the settings yet to see whether or not I can change this, but I hate the way the left pane lists the mail. It was, much easier to scan through all of the spam mail to see if any of it was useful. Now it just seems harder to read and there is much more scrolling involved.

I might say Yahoo is bad at their move, especially dealing with spams, but GMail is by far the worse I've used (loading time and the lag) than Yahoo for now.

Its Great,
Now common needs like searching, starring, or deleting can now be accomplished with one click in Webmail by hovering over or selecting a message. Users can also collapse the inbox's left-hand toolbar to make more room for productivity.

I use Gmail with a mail client and I have no speed problems. If one uses a browser interface, it could be slower.

Good for you...

Here, it's just so slow... Maybe it's my connection, my browser or Google (and its interface) itself. :)
To be fast, I'll use my GMail using MS Outlook... :)

There's a bug,

They have added "Send Feedback" to the GUI, but it says you need to enable cookies. I enabled cookies, even set up an exception rule to always allow cookies in Firefox. It does not work. It seems you have to go to the Main Feedback forum to post feedback.
