washingtonexaminer.com – A Font of Political Bias

Post by A440 » Wed May 05, 2021 2:16 pm

The Washington Examiner is a site owned by Clarity Media Group, which is owned by Philip Anschutz, an American billionaire entrepreneur who describes himself as a “conservative Christian.” Anschutz is also the owner of the right-leaning Weekly Standard and has donated millions of dollars to right-leaning causes, including anti-LGBT groups, such as the Family Research Council, which has been labeled a hate group.

This organization is basically a disseminater of political bias and POV instead of being an unbiased source of news information:

Washingtonexaminer.com
They generally report political news as well as local Washington DC news stories. The Washington Examiner frequently utilizes loaded wording in sensationalized headlines such as Trump’s manic Monday amid the Kavanaugh storm. While the headlines may be sensational, articles’ content is written with less bias and tend to be properly sourced to credible media outlets. Editorially, the Washington Examiner is 100% right. It is virtually impossible to find a single editorial that offers some form of balance. Most editorials have anti-left loaded headlines
See: https://mediabiasfactcheck.com/washington-examiner/

adfontesmedia rates Washington Examiner as being barely acceptable (26.57) in news reliability.
See: https://www.adfontesmedia.com/washington-examiner-bias-and-reliability/

The Washington Examiner has also been something of a toxic environment for promoting a right-wing POV, as described in a recent CNN article:
https://edition.cnn.com/2020/02/14/media/washington-examiner-workplace-harassment/index.html

Washington Examiner has also failed numerous fact checks:
The Air Force wants taxpayers to fund a fantasy football league. – FALSE
Ripon College banned a campus group’s display of a poster commemorating 9/11 because “it may offend Muslims.” – MOSTLY FALSE
U.S. Rep. Ilhan Omar described America as a ”rotten country.” – FALSE
“Obama’s stimulus, passed in his first month in office, will cost more than the entire Iraq War.” – MOSTLY FALSE

whatfinger.com – The Middle Finger It Is

Post by A440 » Wed May 12, 2021 9:27 am

This is yet another online entity that runs a collection of sites which act as a nexus of disreputable and some reputable news articles for the sake of both biased intent and traffic.

whatfinger.com
whatfinger-videos.b-cdn.net
magazine.whatfinger.com
videos.whatfinger.com

These sites are a part of a network that serves as a nexus of political and medical disinformation, rumour, conspiracy theory, racial discrimination – under the guise of being "unbiased" although their about section clearly identifies the site as being "conservative" and conflates their intent as being "pro-American".
This site and its affiliates host links to highly questionable sources (newsmax, Fox News, Dan Bongino, libertynation.com, various youtube links, etc.) and is not a legitimate source of news information.

These sites link to such articles as:
Covid Was 'An Act Of War' Upon America, Timed To Get China's Puppet Into The White House And Engineered With The Kill Shot And Lock Downs To Complete The Take Down Of Americaallnewspipeline.com
RFK, Jr. and Retired Trauma Surgeon Chat How COVID Cases Are Classified, Vaccine Shedding and More from the noted vaccine disinformation site "childrenshealthdefense.org"

Man has leg amputated due to the AstraZeneca COVID Vaccine dailyexpose.co.uk – FALSE
See: https://www.stamfordmercury.co.uk/news/man-lost-leg-weeks-after-covid-vaccination-9198171/
You get the idea – low on fact, high on fiction and bias.

WhatRegistrater.com – Fake Fox News Site

Post by A440 » Sat Jun 12, 2021 10:51 am

This site is an imposter site, done up to look like Fox News (this is very ironic too, considering Fox).

WhatRegistrater.com
WhatRegistrater.com currently consists of one page that mirrors the Fox News website. Here they publish a fake article claimed to be written by Britt Hume that promotes CDB oil. The article claims that pastor Charles Stanley is endorsing and starting a CBD business (Stanley denies this)

republicandaily.net — Another political disinformation site

Post by A440 » Tue Jul 13, 2021 12:25 pm

This site exhibits one or more of the following: extreme bias, consistent promotion of propaganda/conspiracies, poor or no sourcing to credible information, a complete lack of transparency, and/or is fake news. Fake News is the deliberate attempt to publish hoaxes and/or disinformation for profit or political influence. This is basically a hyper-partisan site that masquerades as a news site.

republicandaily.net
Republican Daily does not appear to publish original news stories. Every article reviewed was republished from the far-right questionable source Trending Politics. Trending Politics also features the writing of Kyle Becker, who has a poor track record with fact-checkers.
See: www.mywot.com/scorecard/beckernews.com
https://mediabiasfactcheck.com/republican-daily-bias/
This site promotes Covid-19 conspiracy theories such as: Chinese Scientist Filed COVID Vaccine Patent in February of 2020, Then Mysteriously Died. While Republican Daily/Trending Politics quotes other sources in the article, they draw conclusions that are not a part of the quotes. In the above article, they lead one to believe the Chinese Scientist may have been murdered or that it proves that the Chinese Military was connected to the Wuhan Lab.

This site also promotes election conspiracy theories by heavily insinuating there is fraud yet to be uncovered: Trump: ‘I Never Admitted Defeat’, Says It’s Up to ‘Public’ to Reinstate Him If Audits Uncover Enough Fraud. This article uses gossip and rumour in an attempt to discredit the 2020 election. See: https://www.factcheck.org/2020/12/nine-election-fraud-claims-none-credible/

This site promotes false information about COVID vaccinations as well: CNN Analyst Says Life Needs To Be “Hard” For Unvaccinated Citizens; Here’s What We Know…. This article promotes the false notion that any COVID vaccine is "experimental". They are not.

Americanthinker.com – Addendum 03

Post by A440 » Wed Jul 21, 2021 1:21 pm

Americanthinker.com has yet again descended into presenting rumour as factual evidence in a recent attempt to claim fraud in the 2020 election quoting both Donald Trump and Epochtimes — both of which have serious problems with facts and truth:

newswithviews.com — It has a bit of everything that's bad

Post by A440 » Fri Jul 23, 2021 9:57 am

This site is so low in quality that its home page looks like a prank site. This site embodies extreme bias, consistent promotion of propaganda/conspiracies, poor or no sourcing to credible information, a complete lack of transparency and/or is fake news.

newswithviews.com
News with Views mostly publishes opinion commentary framed around news stories and events. Articles and headlines often contain loaded emotional headlines such as: Slippery Kamala Harris loses big to Vice President Pence. This obvious opinion piece is not sourced at all and concludes with this emotional opinion “The left is ashamed of America, resents it, lies about our history, and plans to ‘kill us softly.’ “Under Joe Biden and Kamala Harris’s leadership, America will become a Godless, hollow and ashamed shell of itself, full of danger, high taxation, immorality, riots and voided freedoms. Vote for America, God, and freedom. Vote for Donald Trump and Mike Pence.” There is not much to say about the bias of this website and the lack of sourcing speaks volumes about their veracity to facts.
See: https://mediabiasfactcheck.com/news-with-views/

This site falsely promotes the idea that the COVID vaccine is "experimental", claiming:
If you have already voluntarily submitted your body to the human experiment that Joe Biden is peddling as a vaccine, I pray and sincerely hope that it goes well for you.
See: https://www.reuters.com/article/factcheck-covid-vaccines-idUSL1N2M70MW

The site furthermore alleges that Americans are "being lied to by “science” and “media” regarding the virus and the so-called vaccines", claiming that Americans have "willingly kowtowed to the government propaganda of fear, masks and lockdowns" and that "A worldwide Genocide is unfolding" due to COVID vaccines .
See: https://vaxopedia.org

This site has additionally failed fact checks:
Do illegal immigrants cost $338.3 billion dollars a year? More than the Iraq war? – False
Three Sheriff’s Deputies Beheaded Near the Border in San Diego County, California – Fiction
This site further promotes anti-science positions regarding climate change and anything else under the sun.

trendsresearch.com – Anything for $

Post by A440 » Sat Jul 24, 2021 10:12 am

This site makes the claim that it is a "world leader in trend forecasting" yet fails to provide proofs of this, all while promoting pseudosicene and egreious claims that link back to their own site, which can not be viewed unless one pays money!

trendsresearch.com
For just one example of the false information promoted by this site, regarding the COVID pandemic, in the article "https://trendsresearch.com/delta-dystopia/" they claim that "the COVID War was launched in January 2020, this tyrannical New ABnormal has been created by the corporate media and dictatorial politicians that have spread rampant fear, terror and distress across the globe."
This site rants about "media whores" yet hides any proofs behind their paywall. All links which support their contentions link back to their site and paywall. This is basically a deluxe click-bait site that is always one step away from selling a subscription for those who wish to read their amazing, opinionated contentions.

This site implies that any COVID vaccine is "experimental" in nature, refering to it as being "gene therapy jab that has not been approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration" See: https://www.reuters.com/article/factcheck-covid-vaccines-idUSL1N2M70MW

The only external sites they promote are all discredited sources of right-wing political disinformation. For example:

Disinformation and the Big Business It Has Become

Post by A440 » Mon Jul 26, 2021 5:40 am

This article offers an excellent introduction to the proliferation of disinformation brokers on the internet and the effect they are having upon public opinion and public trust in news organizations, though I disagree with the notion that this plague of disinformation campaigns is "quiet" — it's very much in our faces, twenty-four/seven.

Disinformation for Hire, a Shadow Industry, Is Quietly Booming
https://www.nytimes.com/2021/07/25/world/europe/disinformation-social-media.html
“Disinfo-for-hire actors being employed by government or government-adjacent actors is growing and serious,” said Graham Brookie, director of the Atlantic Council’s Digital Forensic Research Lab, calling it “a boom industry.” . . . Similar campaigns have been recently found promoting India’s ruling party, Egyptian foreign policy aims and political figures in Bolivia and Venezuela. . . one operating amid a mayoral race in Serra, a small city in Brazil. An ideologically promiscuous Ukrainian firm boosted several competing political parties. In the Central African Republic, two separate operations flooded social media with dueling pro-French and pro-Russian disinformation. Both powers are vying for influence in the country. . . The result is an accelerating rise in polarizing conspiracies, phony citizen groups and fabricated public sentiment, deteriorating our shared reality beyond even the depths of recent years.
One digital research firm offers interesting research into this disturbing trend:
graphika.com
See:
Cross-Platform Spam Network Targeted Hong Kong Protests
“Spamouflage Dragon” used hijacked and fake accounts to amplify video content
https://graphika.com/posts/graphika-report-spamouflage/

Graphika Exposes an Active Campaign by Suspected Russian Actors to Covertly Target Far-Right U.S. Audiences on Alternative Platforms
https://graphika.com/reports/posing-as-patriots/
Which notes that "accounts on Gab and Parler were an active part of the earlier NAEBC operation (Russian disinformation) on those social media platforms."

Chinese Spam Network Finally Starts to Gain Some Traction
https://graphika.com/reports/spamouflage-breakout/
. . . the audiences it (Chinese state-sponsored disinformation) has reached are widespread and include influencers in Latin America, Pakistan, the United Kingdom, and Hong Kong. Combined with the sheer scale of the network, and the fact that it has reconstituted itself after repeated takedowns, these features mark Spamouflage as a persistent and increasingly assertive online presence with a limited but growing ability to engage real users.

corbettreport.com — Conspiracy, pseudo Out the Whazoo

Post by A440 » Mon Aug 02, 2021 4:27 am

This is a site created by a media personality which promotes pseudoscience and conspiracies as a means of making money.

corbettreport.com
James Corbett, the self-styled “independent, listener-supported alternative” journalist behind The Corbett Report, a hub for content on topics like “9/11 Truth and false flag terror” that has been a mainstay of the digital conspiracy world for over a decade and receives over 750,000 views per day, is unsurprisingly not a fan of what he calls “COVID-1984” control measures. . . (as Corbett states) “(his site) operates on the principle of open-source intelligence and provides podcasts, interviews, articles, and videos about breaking news and important issues from 9/11 Truth and false flag terror to the Big Brother police state, eugenics, geopolitics, the central banking fraud and more.”
See: www.thedailybeast.com/this-sketchy-new-company-wants-to-help-anti-vaxxers-travel
www.mediabiasfactcheck.com/the-corbett-report/
https://www.counterhate.com/disinformationdozen

This guy publishes Youtube videos, podcasts, and articles from a right-wing conspiracy perspective. The website touches on many different conspiracies and pseudoscience propaganda:
9/11 Whistleblowers (Full Documentary) (promotes alternative theories about 9/11)
How To Engineer A Crisis (False Flag Operations)
Chemtrails Exposed: The past, present, and future of the New Manhattan Project (Chemtrail conspiracies and pseudoscience)
Never Forget: What the Deep State Wants You to Remember About 9/11 (Deep State)
The IPCC Prepares to Release More Hot Air (Human Influenced Climate Change Denial)
Interview 1370 – James Corbett on the New World Order (New World Order)
This site links to a variety of discredited if not biased sources such as rt.com (Russian disinformation), nypost.com, xinhuanet.com (Chinese state media), etc. The author does post links to factual information but this is more so as a means to disguise his opinions, thus giving them the flavour of truth, only.
Corbett's blog gives a platform to disinformation by allowing commentary as well such as "covid-19-is-caused-by-graphene-oxide-introduced-by-several-ways".
