Re: New EU rules and guidelines for websites and -shops in 2018
1 : Like Site rater said : Setting the secure flag with using https is important now. Since July 01 ( almighty ) search engine no. 1 Google presents a notification when a site isn't secured with https. 2 : I've heard around me that still a lot of sites don't fullfill to the new EU rules and the dema...

Re: mycleanpc.com

Re: New EU rules and guidelines for websites and -shops in 2018
Last news : 1 - These EU rules are a follow up of domestic French and German rules on privacy, which are already strict. The EU now wants to create a European standard, applicable in all nations. That has advantages in Easten and Southern Europe where nowadays rules aren't available or hardly contro...

Re: MyWOT still functional?
I've been strolling and lurking around on WOT the last few days. What a mess ! ! Where's our MB ? We seem to have a new profile....... Yeah, found it in the jungle ! But its incomplete html tags don't work anymore Scorecard spamming remains unsolved by the admins ( see e.g. aspidanetwork, com ) Every...

Re: Official download site of VLC Media Player infected
Weird ! I don't understand this, also when you consider Shazza's post. Added : Checked the scorecard of videolan.org and it appears that more members have reported malware. Member "zTrust" even posted a VT result in July 2017 with a trojan detection. Link to VT : https://www.virustotal.com/en/file/6...

Official download site of VLC Media Player infected
It appears that the official download site ( hxxps://videolan.org ) of the French designers of "VLC Media Player" is infected. After the download my PC was behaving weird and I did a check with MBAM. Even after that I still had 32 PUPs on my PC coming from hxxps://slimware.com This site belongs to a...

RE: What alternatives to Google can you suggest?
<quote user="A440"> Sure, that's fine, however I question why the site should get down voted if people don't believe it to be as effective as Google. I don't think that is the intent of a WOT rating. I am beginning to detest Google's deliberate insertion of certain companies at almost every other se...

RE: What alternatives to Google can you suggest? - SEARCHNET ???
<quote user="A440"> I recently noticed <green>searchnet.ml</green>, which was up for review. It is quick and I liked how the results looked without the heavy site bias that google has a serious problem with. </quote> A - One can be quick if you don,t find everything.
