RE: WOT back on Chrome

Just installed the new version and noticed that I can't leave reviews anymore; just some vague ratings of safe or not and that sort of thing. I'm rather disappointed... :(

Archiving reviews of sites when they change ownership?

Not sure how that would work exactly, but for instance there are a lot of negative reviews of remote.com which is just a job listings board; maybe it used to be a scam site, but it's not anymore. These negative reviews are hurting sites just because they happen to have the same URL as a former scam ...

I think the Chrome extension might be crashing my browser. Is there anything I can do but disable it?

Every so often (about once a day), my browser crashes, refusing to load any more pages until I kill all the Chrome processes I'm running and restart Chrome. This seems to have stopped for a few days while I had this extension disabled, but when I turn it back on, it starts happening again. Has anyon...

RE: To the WOT community

I would uninstall the plugin now, but it is useful, and it might never come back... let's see how things go...

RE: Why don't the link trust level icons appear on all websites?

Oh, sites need to use your API for it to work, rather than it being automatically done by the plugin itself? Why is that?

Some of the rating scores have identical names. Could they be changed to more distinct ones?

For instance, the top two trust ratings simply say "I trust", while the top two child friendliness ratings say "Child friendly". Why not change the top ratings to "I trust a lot" and "Very child friendly"? Might even this minor change impart a bias to previously submitted ratings?

RE: Reddit and Wikipedia's child safety ratings

I'm not saying that encyclopedias should censor themselves at all. I'm saying that certain NSFW content does exist there, and therefore users should be warned about it. As for firearms, it's not so much the pictures as the information about them; couldn't a child learn where to acquire one, or how t...

Can I get email notifications for replies to topics in these forums, like on many other forums?

Would be handy as an option! I could then subscribe to a topic I want to follow, or automatically subscribe to all topics I post, or all topics I reply to, or things like that.

weboftrust.com is a parked domain, reported by WOT users as a scam. Why not buy it?

Seems odd to have the most obvious URL for your app be rated as a scam by that very app! The domain doesn't actually seem to be a scam anymore; it's just parked, so it should be available for purchase, right? Speaking of domains which change owners, is there any mechanism in place to archive or dele...

Reddit and Wikipedia's child safety ratings

Everyone seems to be giving these sites green ratings, but I'm rather shocked at that - don't they know you can find nudity, firearms, and all sorts of inappropriate content on those sites? (Well, maybe not nudity on Wikipedia anymore; I haven't checked - but I'm sure there's still lots of informati...
