Re: All my comments are gone.

Do me a favor and do not write my name in red . I only use that color for people if someone has done something clearly wrong that is out in the open and can be documented. I cared about this community for a long time and took the time to post again. If there is an accusation get it out now. Otherwi...

All my comments are gone.

In recent years after the destruction of W O T I really had been keeping it as a personal note taking system. One of the things that I do is independently find and rate websites. More about that another time. Therefore, I still rate sites using this- with no idea of if the entire system has seen it...

Re: Will my account remain on the system?

Do you want her ratings? If so, there is a good chance that they got lost. Iffity if if if they can be found and you want them I would suggest manually copying them while you still can. There also is a hail Mary for recovering them. Many browser cleanups don't get everything. One thing that frequen...

Saving your ratings

This all will depend on if members of the community want to save their ratings for any reason. It also assumes that there are any members left to read this at all. Members may remember that there used to be a function that allowed us to save our ratings as a zip file. That has long since been broke...

RE: Version of WOT add-on that works with Pale Moon browser

<green> They made a big mistake in delisting the good versions. AFAIK the last good version is 20131118. I haven't done a search for where to DL it and at present I am just copying PM profiles with it already existing. If you can't find it perhaps there may be a way of listing the XPI(setup) file so...

RE: Sites Selling EBay & Paypal Accounts

<green> Paypal would be much harder to fool as they are <strong>much</strong> more solid. </green><yellow>Feebay</yellow><green> is a complete mess and they are desperate for accounts as they spiral down the drain.... Either way, I just </green><red><strong>rated</strong></red><green> that above site.

RE: Version of WOT add-on that works with Pale Moon browser

<green> AFIK the only bypass is to run old versions- and then refuse to update. For all extensions with this issue pick the newest version that still works and has the feature set(s) that you are looking for. With many extensions this may mean some experimentation before you find the best balance. B...

RE: The New WOT - Moving Forward

<green> I am going to continue to use older versions that <em>actually work</em>. I also cannot and will not use anything in the </green><yellow>web extension format</yellow><green> unless it is on rarely used backup browsers that I only use for testing/comparison purposes. It also is likely to resu...

RE: Disney, Inc. – illegally tracking children through their s

<quote user="Site-rater"> They don't take down YouTube accounts of kids who claim to be under 13. Facebook is spotty at best at taking down a family member's underage account. </quote> <green> So in those instances they truly are in violation. I wonder what % of that is from relying on bots for <str...

RE: Disney, Inc. – illegally tracking children through their s

<green> I always wondered if when sites say that they are only for those 13 and up how well that holds up. They can say it- but without extensive </green><red>snooping</red><green> how would they know? If they enforced their own policies would violate both the law and their own terms on a huge numbe...
