RE: systweak.com

At the moment Systweak programs are distributed using adware/trojans. Probably not their own doing, but they don't care too much about that. However, their registry cleaner installs their antivirus silently, without consent. Done some tests with some adware bundle, was surprised with the silent inst...

RE: hyperventilation.de

You will not see this if you visit the site as particular page shows different content for you and search engines. You will have to search files (especially listed one) for c...

RE: Cocoon prevents automatic drive-by-downloads?

I think some claims are a bit questionable. For comparison of email security to the one provided by Gmail, as it provides document viewing on cloud too. Malware can't pass through it ? There is always a chance :)

RE: Flame, the new Stuxnet

I think this article is worth reading on the topic too : http://nakedsecurity.sophos.com/2012/05/29/flame-malware-the-biggest-the-baddest-a-little-perspective . Flame is big news. But not because it is sophisticated - there are other sophisticated trojan kits. The fact that it managed to hide in the...

RE: Affiliate programs are NOT scams

As long as everything disclosed, many of affiliate offers are not scam. That does not mean that there are no bad affiliates as such. Personally, I have seen rumors about spam affiliates using amazon affiliate network on Pinterest, which would be less than honest. Would be hard to track for Amazon, t...

RE: Symantec Lawsuit

I am ESET SS user myself, though I run PC Tools (AKA owned by Symantec) software for testing purposes almost daily. Personally, I think that main Symantec antivirus line is bloatware, but Symantec is not darkside and overall is doing quite a lot of good. For me, PC Tools SD software has a bit too lo...

RE: softwaresecuritysolutions.com

There is a record at hphosts. I would suggest getting it removed first.
While BBB rating is nice, the question might be the software you offer and if your visitors trust in the software.
