For example, one could rate
For example, one could rate red and leave a Good Site comment - you would assume the rating(s) to be high, or visa-versa. Don't assume anything about comments - they are merely opinions. The best way to bet is to go with the obvious. If someone is abusive towards your site then you can ...

Comments do only imply when
Comments do only imply when it comes to the reputation, because they don't affect the reputation and leaving them is optional. The comments reflect the rating. I am going to assume that if someone comments that a site has malware and there is a big red dot alongside said comment that th...

Comments left on the scorecard imply that a past malware incident still affects the reputation though. The comments do not imply. They state. They state that malware exists on the site. There's also an obvious
There's also an obvious difference between these services. Google and Norton have malware blacklists, while we measure your site's reputation. Analogy time: let's say you own a public venue where people come to be entertained. One evening part of your building suddenly collapses. You quickly ...

Well I would say there is no
Well I would say there is no standard that I can see by which to assess a site as good, acceptable or worse but we will leave it there and agree to disagree :) However I will go back to my own personal experience. WoT came to my attention because one of our sites (an adult site) had a poor rating du...

Yes everyone has his own
Yes everyone has his own experience but what is the base line? You must have a standard from which everyone can take their cue. Simply allowing everyone to rate sites as they see fit will produce inconsistancies and errors because it is based on individual prejudice. Saying that most sites are rated...

Since individuals are rating sites based on their own subjective idea as to what makes a site 'good' or 'bad' then the system is flawed from the outset. You should just set fixed parameters ie contains malware yes/no or contains adult content yes/no that allow people to determine whether they should...
