Saul_Luque: interesting question, I'll rephrase it here and hope you approve.

Why would you recommend myWOT to other web users?

When does crime fighting become censorship?

The question: "When does crime fighting become censorship?" has been posed by Dan Goodin in The Register. http://www.theregister.co.uk/2008/09/15/online_crime_vs_censorship/ The suggestion seems to be that it is somehow 'wrong' to get malware servers taken down without 'due process'. A number of peo...

Thanks for the feedback.

Thanks for the feedback, wehavitall and BobJam. I'm in process of researching to find out if the two or three clusters I'm seing of various rebrands of scareware are affiliated. That's how I found the links to that excellent article. I'm seeing quite a lot of links on scammer sites which say, in eff...

Due diligence.

BobJam says: "an experienced users rating might influence a less experienced user to give the same rating WITHOUT doing their own due diligence." I like what you say, BobJam. In the UK, the laws of evidence have much the same to say about how expert witnesses should not be present...

Re: Mission statement...

LOL phantazm, do you speak Klingon? I just rated about 100 typosquat / camosquat sites using the mass tool. I put in a comment about not having checked one at a time, but the source is impecable: sedoparking's own data! typosquat - a website name designed to trick due to user's spelling errors. camo...

Why I rate PC Doc Pro red.

NEVER trust a web site that makes bogus claims! Please read my report: http://www.mywot.com/en/scorecard/pcdocpro.com The web site owner uses unethical SEO tricks. SEO - Search Engine Optimisation, a bafflegab term. It's not the search engine that's 'optimised' but the web-site's position in search ...

Re: "mass-ratings" from source

That's good. My primary 'source' is my own personal spamtraps. I actually read this garbage, speed-reading the many same-brand spams which are duplicates, or nearly so. I use the term 'read' in the broadest possible sense. How do you 'read' e.g. - impratant missage for you w h v t e i e t r n e o v ...
