RE: lexicon: poisoned URL? web beacon?

I have heard about image exploits, but the example given is actually a misuse of the Img tag to fetch, not an image file, but a .ASP. It never occurred to me that non-image files could be fetched this way.

RE: Website Assessment

Where in the WOT guidelines does it say we are rating for dumb SEO? If she spams Google, only her site ranking will suffer.

RE: Website Assessment

#1 What is a "keyword exploit" and how does it endanger visitors to blue_nexus's site? #2 Your scorecard comment is about spamming this forum, yet the "Spam" category has to do with spamming the public. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong about this. If i'm right, please amend that comment to the "Othe...

@Swapfire
If enough people don't want to see ads, someone will write software to block them. The blocking can be enabled or disabled as the user desires. The right of free speech does not automatically grant the right to be heard or to be taken seriously.

RE: Halo Forum, why the low rating?

<strong>If</strong> you gave the correct domain: - the domain record was last updated in 2004, and its status is "frozen", - last rated on WOT on 2008/05/18 by exactly one WOT member who is now banned, - site front page is gutted, so it's likely not trustworthy or reliable, - but it's probably child...

RE: Blocking WOT ratings

I went back to that site 4 times and saw no donuts. Unless you have some kind of memory leak, the only thing I can think of at the moment is they may be live testing the WOT widget -?

RE: Blocking WOT ratings

Click the WOT tool icon on your browser > click Settings (upper right) > click the Searching tab > change what you want. But I don't see a way to add domains, probably because there's no handshaking set up yet.
