Several ways of blogging

I described blogs and fora, and noticed the similarity as a blog could be described as a subset of a forum. But there are some differences as well. A blog is normally a personal project, while a forum is a community affair. (Of course there are exceptions here: Facebook may look like a superforum, b...

"My threads"

<quote user="g7w"> Do you mean "split" <em>My posts</em> into # My Discussions [threads / OP's I created) # My replies (all other blog / forum / poll posts). </quote> Yes. One thing is your comments on threads other people started, another are those that you started and (probably) still maintain... ...

Blogs and fora looks like different entities, and yet a blog could be described as a tiny forum. Only the owner can start new threads, or delete old ones. The owner is both edito...

"We all live in a democracy, right?"

Yes, but trust is still earned, as Jicé also mentioned.

Furthermore, participating in a democracy always requires a minimum of understanding and experience.
That's why kids usually aren't allowed to vote; they simply don't know enough...

RE: New build for Opera Next 12.00.1328 - WOT doesn't activate?

I sometimes use Opera, with WOT, but I've experienced no problems so far.

I'm using an old XP windows pc, your OS is probably not the same...

How about a new colour?

<em>g7w: "We have 3 color tags allowed: <green>green</green>, <red>red</red>, <yellow>yellow</yellow> Since red is for Admins and green is for everything else, how about <yellow>yellow</yellow> for Banned?"</em> Red would be an obvious choice, except that colour is already overloaded: news, admin, d...

RE: Badoo (still) at it again

<em>Jazzspeak;"when I received an e-mail purporting to have come from a friend"</em> The original post is more than a year old, but quite recently I experienced the same problem: personal messages from a friend that had never sent them. I also noticed that If people want to read the fake "invitation...
