Re: platinumhost.xyz
Should you be allowing P2P on your "strictly no logs" VPN service or are you just asking to get into legal trouble since if you don't keep any logs of what servers are used and when you cannot find out the customer in case of a copyright or abuse complaint?
Re: platinumhost.xyz
With regards to the P2P network, we still keep the "Strictly no logs" as the servers do not store any information. With regards to legal trouble, we aren't able to provide any details about our customers/data etc as it's no logs.

In a sense you may be encouraging illegal use of your network services by making it impossible to respond properly to abuse.FinnR wrote: ↑Tue Jul 12, 2022 6:52 pmWith regards to the P2P network, we still keep the "Strictly no logs" as the servers do not store any information. I understand that having no logs on our servers is a downside to responding to abuse properly and that even with P2P we still keep the no-logs however, we do not encourage any illegal activity on our network. Yes, we don't restrict anything a client does on our VPN however many other companies adopt this sort of approach to VPN's.Site-rater wrote: ↑Wed Jul 13, 2022 1:05 amIn a sense you may be encouraging illegal use of your network services by making it impossible to respond properly to abuse.FinnR wrote: ↑Tue Jul 12, 2022 6:52 pmWith regards to the P2P network, we still keep the "Strictly no logs" as the servers do not store any information. Comparing to other companies doesn't make your business model less risky, and other "no log" VPN services have in recent years faced legal troubles. Since you are selling access to your servers it's not unreasonable to at a minimum log the times when your customers are connected to such servers so if the servers are abused (which if you are advertising no logs next to P2P allowed is a certainty) those abusing your paid services are the ones accountable.FinnR wrote: ↑Wed Jul 13, 2022 9:27 amI understand that having no logs on our servers is a downside to responding to abuse properly and that even with P2P we still keep the no-logs however, we do not encourage any illegal activity on our network. With keeping a minimum log with the times our customers are connected wouldn't that go against the "no log" and how would it help with any legal issues we may face if it does occur? We wouldn't know what customers do what so it would still be the same?Site-rater wrote: ↑Wed Jul 13, 2022 11:24 pmComparing to other companies doesn't make your business model less risky, and other "no log" VPN services have in recent years faced legal troubles. re. limited company, are you the owner?
How many staff do you employ, and where are they based?

Re: platinumhost.xyz
I am not the Owner however I have got the Owner's permissions to post on this forum. I am one of the System Administrators for the company. We have 3 staff on the team. Two are based in the US and the owner is based in the UK. This makes it easier for 24/7 support times.spectre wrote: ↑Thu Jul 14, 2022 2:25 pmre. limited company, are you the owner?
