RE your (front page ) specialty "Website, network and server security. Protection against hacking and malware."
Have a look: _https://sitecheck.sucuri.net/results/madscientistwebdesign.com
And: _https://www.ssllabs.com/ssltest/analyze.html?d=madscientistwebdesign.com

RE your (front page) question "Are there errors in your code, broken links or worse?"
The page is HTML5 - <!DOCTYPE html>
but your charSet spec is XHTML1 or less - <meta http-equiv="content-type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8">
and because it follows other code (2 scripts), it causes the browser to request the page twice.
The self-closing tags don't close.

RE your (front page) question "Is your site search engine friendly?"
The canonical link isn't canonical.

If Twitter notices your redo of their logo, they could get upset.

Overall, your site is well-intended and safe to visit, and the privacy policy is decent.
