It sounds like your add-on is not be synchronized with your account. Could you please answer these questions:

1. When you visit our website, are you automatically logged in or do you have to log in manually?

2. When you visit "My page", do you see an option to synchronize your profile?

If you disagree with a warning and don't want to be bothered again when you visit a site, the easiest way to stop it is to give the site a good rating (or check the "This site is good; do not show this warning again" option before hiding the warning).

Your own ratings can be found from "My page" by clicking the "View my ratings" link. However, this requires that your add-on is synchronized with your account and it has successfully authenticated itself with our website.

Upgraded again

Just upgraded FF to Beta 5. So far, so good. Your site works fine in it.
I just came across a bunch of sites that I'll have to check out. Looks like I'm gonna be doing a bunch of 'red-flagging' for us.

Aol was temporarily not working-chill

Going to an internet cafe wont help you with the aol mail issue, the page, the server has just been down. If ten broswers aren't compatible with it, it's most likely not your computer, but the site itself.

Hope that solves your problem.

I think firefox can be programmed easily and is rated to be famous among porn browsers all over. That might be the threat. nothin else I suppose.

Technical Advice Response

Post by Syxx » Sun Jul 06, 2008 1:56 pm

Sorry this is so late! It has been one of those years! But, here it is...

1. I have to login when I visit the WOT website. I am not automatically logged in.

2. On "My Page," I do see a hyperlink to Synchronize. It does not say Synchronize Your Profile, just Synchronize and their is hypertext to Update My Profile.

3. I don't necessary want to change the site's rating. I just haven't had the ability to look at the site without the black screen coming down each and every time. I want a warning, but if I just want to take a look at the site for whatever reason, I would like to be able to do that. If the site has a poor rating, I would not want to say the site is good when I don't know whether it is or not or if I agree that it is a bad site.

Thanks for your help. I think perhaps I am not synchronized. I can't see my ratings now. The spiral just keeps going around but never finishes. I will try synching.

Is there a way to be notified by administration when there is feedback for me? I completely missed out on this feedback for a long time. Thanks!

1 + 2. You're not being logged in, because your add-on hasn't been synchronized. Give it a try and let us know if that didn't help.

3. If you want to temporarily stop the warnings from bothering you, how about simply disabling the add-on while browsing the poorly rated site? You can quickly enable or disable it by right clicking the toolbar icon and clicking the "Enabled" option.

Sorry, I don't think there's any way to receive a notification at the moment when someone responds to your post on our website. You can subscribe the forum feed though.

The compatibility issue with "Firefox and WOT" is quite obsolete now.

And the solution is as simple as it can be: Upgrade to FireFox 3...
