How do I report a site to WOT?

Post by Lochkelly » Thu May 25, 2017 8:48 pm

I did a Google search for a telemarketer phone number and one of the Google search results didn't have a WOT symbol next to it:

267-313-5232 - phone number lookup - Google Sites
hxxps://sites.google.com/site/ph56numbe222265/267-313-5232
267-313-5232. Custom Gadget. Comments. ALL IMAGES © Non Such Photography 2011 |ALL VIDEOS © office Power Play 2011|Niigata,Japan |Phone ...

It took me to one site that immediately took me to a porn dating site. WHOA! Glad one of my kids weren't standing next to me at my desk like they often do.

Thanks,
Lisa

As soon as possible, please edit your original comment, above, and disable the "live link" which you posted. Live links are not permitted in this forum. Simply change "https" to "hxxps" in the URL's protocol.

The deceptive webpage selectively redirects to pornography at
hxxp://www.baise-maintenant.com/p/dat/dat035/
and several additional websites are probably involved as intermediate links in the chain of redirection. You may wish to rate the domain baise-maintenant.com (WOT scorecard) and by all means, report the deception to Google at
https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/spamreport

@Lochkelly, Thanks for your prompt attention to the matter of the live link. While the link was "live", it may have boosted the prominence of that webpage in search results.

Community members who can safely investigate that deceptive sites.google.com link may wish to report it to Google. Members may also consider reporting the suspicious telephone number (supposedly located in the Philadelphia area of the USA) to some of the more reliable websites that track deceptive or annoying telephone activity. But no (obvious,) inappropriate remarks about Philadelphia's Liberty Bell(e), please.
