Yes, agreed and I don't dispute this, being an average user myself.
RE: Fraudulent certificate issued BY COMODO ...
in the mean time we average users might also like to know how to protect ourselves

I read a current article in Vanity Fair about Stuxnet + Iran + stolen signatures, originally from RealTek, and later from JMicron. Could be related?

This is a bit over my head, but for my 2 cents I have used COMODO for a few years and like it. Now for the flip side of my 2 pennies. I have been using WOT for about a month and I like it. However, my wife is a facebook junkie and I noticed the new feature for Facebook and suggested she download WOT. I don't know where she got the information, but she said some one said to not install it because it is foreign developed and installs spyware. Is some one spreading rumors?

Someone is indeed spreading rumours, and completely false rumours too ......
The company that develops/owns MyWot is based in Finland, and there's no spyware.

@ debralan,
Any information you get from FB, unless it's from a source you know is trustworthy (and even then it could still be an anecdotal rumor) is dubious at best.
I wouldn't place too much trust on anything I heard from FB (disclosure: I'm NOT a social networking fan, and that's one reason why . . . those places are nests for unsubstantiated rumors).
