Thanks!

I see it's listed in the "allowed HTML list" below reply box - though there is no "help" defined in the tips link.

Could a "Quote" button be added next to "Reply" for user choice (as is with most all forum software)?

I see no reason not to change the terminology. I'll do this early this week. A few other new features need to roll-out first ;-)

Forum Search - new posts count

Post by c۞g » Mon May 02, 2011 3:28 am

Could the new posts link be added to forum search results?

Example fake news results shows relavent topic:

Code: Select all

Forum topic - g7w - 08/19/2010 - 78 comments

There may be "new replies not yet viewed by the user and this thread could be buried on page 3 or further down the index on the Website review requests forum.

It would help if new posts were identified in forum search results, example:

Code: Select all

Forum topic - g7w - 08/19/2010 - 78 comments <green>3 new</green>

It's possible, but not something that's going to make it into this set of changes.

We just rolled out a couple of changes:
- We will now highlight our administrative posts on the forum or blog or comments in red where necessary to make it clear that it is a staff decision.
- There's a new option on board messages where you can click "Reply". This will take you to a facebook-wall style page where you can view your conversation history with that individual and reply quickly to them.

Enjoy!

I actually had the same question as IssViews. Thank you for satisfying my curiosity. I haven't ever had the opportunity to watch Mad Men, but have heard of it. Lots of people think it is very good. Seems to be a meme thing!

Code: Select all

Edit: Sorry, I just saw the injunction to remain on-topic. I will not stray again.
