My internet connection died for about two hours. . . gee felt like the end of the world at the moment. ~smiles~

Personally I'm a little upset the world didn't end, now I have to buy last minute presents. . . thought I was going to get out of it maybe.
Damn Mayans.

Was it ever really in doubt that the world would survive?

Armageddon? Well, armageddon bored by the all too frequent, and predictably wrong, doomsday predictions being touted by those people who ought to be old enough to know better than to rely on arbitrary and inaccurate calenders and other unreliable information.

Doomsday was a hoax originated by some underground religious organisations and also some businesses. They try to persuade people to spend all they have before 'the world ends'. Now, those people are like ostriches, they need to find a hole which they can put their heads in and pretend no one can see them!

I'm afraid we'll have to stick it out until the sun goes supernova. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sun#Earth.27s_fate

The sun won't go supernova for another 100 million years! (more than the views of the Gangnam Style video :p )

Neither could I...
"Martha Hairy’s next assignment will be to discover whether the Mirkins will rescind their right to wear short-sleeved shirts, known as the Right to Bare Arms, and introduce changes to their Gum Laws, so-called because the present legislation lacks teeth. The proposed changes to the Gum Laws are likely to be strongly opposed by the National Raffle Association, who thinks that it should be a lottery as to whether anyone has teeth, and the NRA use the war cry, “The only way to beat a bad man is to gum him down”, to make their sticking-point. The effectiveness of the war cry remains to be seen."
