However in terms of design: Let's say you are driving through town.
You are in a hurry, perhaps to something important, or just because everyone else is hurrying. You approach an intersection which has a traffic light with one large bulb. Two sections of the bulb are blue and purple.
A few blocks out of your way is a library which offers an explanation of traffic light colors. The driver behind you is urging you to do something. Behind him is a police car. What is your next move?

Do not cross unless in the middle of the intersection

I was thinking like this:
http://i60.tinypic.com/29f5nif.jpg
(Excuse the image; all I've got available right now is MS Paint )
The thermometer shows overall score. "Cold" is bad.
The colored squares are filled in to show which criteria had problems.
It's flat enough to be displayed in line with search engine results and simple enough to be clear even if it is pretty tiny.

I like your design = sounds good and simple.
Where will a new site unknown to wot start from ?
How will child safety and trustworthiness shown - separately ?
Present System - http://prntscr.com/3h1wq6
What you proposed - http://i60.tinypic.com/29f5nif.jpg
what abt this - http://i62.tinypic.com/11l3r6e.jpg

Drsumit,
I love what you proposed even better than the thermometer idea. This it because it makes the numerical values of the site easy to understand. This design here:
http://i62.tinypic.com/11l3r6e.jpg
Provides a comprehensive number system. The developers could still use the present colors of Green for Excellent, Yellow for Caution, and Red for Bad.
Satch

Thanks - i am glad that you like it - I tried making it as simple as possible taking cue from your design and the present system.

Being a trusted source How does symantec trust seal influence reputation ?I have seen many payday websites with symantec trust seal With red rating from wot.
[/quote]
I don't understand this either,
Maybe Timo can help with this. I too have see Red WOT sites with Symantic Trust Seals, which is very confusing. I think that the Symantic Trust Seals should not be used anymore, and that the ratings should only represent personal WOT user experiences. Trust Seals give the impression, to me at least, that WOT ratings can be bought and sold for money, which is a direct violation of WOT's TOS agreement.
How does a company get a WOT Trust Seal, and what steps are taken in getting a WOT Trust seal so that TOS rules are followed?

WoT discontinued its trust seal program as of 2013/10/23: https://www.mywot.com/en/trustseal
If Joe Schmo from Kokomo sells a trust seal (which guarantees that a certain shop owner dusts his shelves daily), this in no way implies that WoT ratings are bought and sold.
Trust seals guarantee, or not, various scopes of business processes and statuses. One trust seal may guarantee that Company B does in fact reside at its specified address. Another trust seal guarantees that Company B's web site is not infected with any specific malware which the trust authority is able to detect. Another trust seal guarantees that company B uses specific security methods for online transactions. Other trust seals certify nothing beyond the fact that Company B paid for them.
If I see a web site displaying fake trust seals, I consider it significant; otherwise, the presence of good trust seals means only that the business complies with the scope of that specific seal. These seals are just data points which help inform trust. Personally, I would rather know more than less.
