yeah I would agree with g7w too. I as a personal non-profit (and non-sales) would have no way to pay €179 per year for that badge. As "Eve" stated above, for non-profits, every cent counts so I wouldn't say that is the perfect price according to demand and supply.

I recommend being careful relying on just one human indicator. E.g. when I rate a site it immediately gets one human indicator straight away - which means, if any of those who are trusted enough by the system builds a bad site - they can get the CTN certificate as long as they have no other rating...

Maybe to visit each website, review the content, check for authenticity, as well as possible spy/ad/exploit/etc, etc. Offer an unbiased rating and hopefully if rated, leave a comment as to why.

That's what we do here, right?

thanks for the pricing discussion folks. Always interesting to read about how people feel about such a delicate issue. We will continue to evaluate e.g. the non-profit sites "CTN business case" and who know's, there might be other ways to get the badge than just buying one in the future...:0)
