Stop it with the twitter ratings. I'll say it to the camera, STOP IT.

So as I browse through twitter I notice that as I go through some sites, sometimes the ratings will shift.

Take a look at Mrs. Clinton's Twitter and Donald Trump's Twitter.
(You actually have to click on the links, it doesn't display)

Along with say, James O'Keefe (This is used as an example of abuse, not as a political advertisement).

These ratings are simply done solely for political purposes and not as an honest evaluation of such places. Notice how very little comments there are on these pages.
This means that people are just giving these sites (and many many others, which is what I'm trying to point to the mass abuse of this on twitter) negative ratings only for the purpose of negative ratings. Otherwise we'd be seeing much more commenting on such pages.

I don't mind the rating of websites on WOT, but when people are rating not websites, but users, and giving them hits not<i/> to evaluate them or to give honest commentary about them, but simply for the sake of political activism.

WOT was created for an evaluation of websites, not twitter users. This was outlined in their mission statement. IT'S TIME TO STOP

To the contrary, WOT welcomes its users to rate Twitter feeds just as it welcomes ratings for websites. According to the WOT guidelines, users are expected to rate in a reasonable and responsible manner.

Users who suspect rating abuse may report their suspicions to the WOT staff. However, just because one disagrees with a rating doesn't make that rating unethical, so provide some convincing evidence with the complaint.

This is a bit off-topic but Slashdot mentions, "Twitter says it's cracking down on hate speech". See

Twitter users will now be able to report 'hateful conduct' as a separate option. ” See
