Well March is a good candidate, but for other reasons.

Since the North Star does change by the way.
Vega was the North about 12000BC
Polaris is the current North Star
and Vega in constellation Lyra will take that role in the year 3000.

There has been much speculation on what the magi really saw, may have been a comet.
Oh and the magi could not have made it to the birth of Christ.

Here is a pretty good wiki article on the Christmas Star.

At least know what you are celebrating.

Oh and just for the record I was raised Catholic, 13 years in Catholic schools (had to do one grade twice for not knowing English well enough)
Had thoughts of being a nun at one time. (yes that is funny)
Went on to do years of private research of several religions, even studied the Greek and Arabic codex.

So forgive me for seeking truth.
Guess it is better then just saying, "that is what my mommy told me."

What's your problem?

Like I said, if you want to celebrate whatever holiday you celebrate, go right ahead. I said nothing against you seeking "truth".

@ Warxus,

"so why try to say something bad about mine?"
What's "bad" about a dissertation on not knowing the exact date that Jesus Christ was born? Can you expand?

It's not that in it's self

It's that, she is trying to belittle Christmas, by saying it's not based on fact, just speculation. Indicated by her first post, "Bah Humbug!"

@ Warxas,

I hate to rain on your parade, but it's based on neither "fact" nor "speculation". It's based on belief, which can be neither verified or proven incorrect.

And I hardy think "Bah Humbug" said in the tone that it was is "belittling" Christmas. I think that maybe you are being oversensitive and seeing attacks on your faith when there are none.

I doubt DT would object to your right to believe as you wish, just as she can believe as she wishes.

In any case, discussions of religious beliefs are inappropriate on WOT, so I think we should end it here. If you have any opinions you feel compelled to express, I suggest you PM either DT or myself, and make those PM's/opinions "Public" if you wish others to read them (which I expect you would.)
