WOT guidelines revision

Post by MyWOT-Team » Mon May 04, 2020 12:54 pm

Dear WOT community,

We hope you are all well and healthy in such tumultuous times.

In the past few years, our community has exponentially grown and was joined by millions of new friends and members.
We would like to take advantage of this platform and offer you an opportunity to have an impact on the community and refresh our community’s guidelines.

In recent months, we have received many requests and we always did and always will act accordingly when we are contacted in this regard.
However, we believe that you, as a community, should take part in formulating it’s guidelines and Code of Conduct which will serve as a guide to all new (and veteran) members.

We invite you to suggest ideas, revisions, rephrasing, and/or deletion of any part of the guidelines you feel need a “touch-up”. We will also be happy to hear if there are any topics you would like to see added to WOT’s guidelines
Suggestions can also be sent to us via direct message if it is more convenient to you.

Many times, years ago, especially in 2012, 2013, some members worked hard to translate guidelines,
users were keeping their eyes almost every day to keep translated texts as accurate and up to date
from time to time they corrected text when it is needed to fit it with original english version.

last time in late 2015 I suggested new revision to publish which I was making during several weeks.

You have removed all translations - destroyed hundreds and hundreds hours of hard work made by more than one person during almost 8 years!
you just flushed it down to the toilet with no compunction!

now there is NO russian revisions at all, because you did all your best to bring to end any desire from russian users not only to help but even visit your website.
and now you ask users for help, but you will do nothing in return as always you do.

New owners do not understand what they are doing. Lots of work was made just right before they have bought this service. There is nothing to say about this big loss. I remember how they just removed my "site owner guide" from wiki, simply because they just wanted it to remove (i think that way, because they have never answered adequately what was the reason to do that).
