Introduction:
Dear Sirs,

I own a website called eSeats.com which has been erroneously listed by some knucklehead on hpHosts Online as a fraudulent website because he saw us listed as an unauthorized website site on the London2012.com website. We are not in any way engaged in any illegal activities.

This is nonsense! We are a long standing member of the NATB.org and have an A+ Rating with the BBB. We were listed on the London Olympic Site as one of the unauthorized websites selling Olympic tickets. The truth is we are an American company and have been helping our clients buy and sell their Olympic tickets for many years and there is nothing remotely against the law or illegal about this. I would be happy to forward to you a letter from our industry association legal counsel which vigorously denies any wrongdoing and assertions of any impropriety.

Thank you in advance for your assistance.

Bob Bernstein

re. We are not in any way engaged in any illegal activities.
(1)A person commits an offence if he sells an Olympic ticket —
(a)in a public place or in the course of a business, and
(b)otherwise than in accordance with a written authorisation issued by the London Organising Committee.

Olympic tickets are strongly regulated. You can not legally do anything with the tickets unless it is through the Olympic Committee.

Can I sell my Olympic tickets for a profit?

The answer to this is quite simply, no. Since 2006 it has been illegal to sell on tickets to events specifically to make a profit. This is also against the terms and conditions of buying Olympic tickets 2012. Using the official resale programme you will be able to sell your tickets for face value.
Unless your business survives by making no profit I find it very hard to believe you are doing this legally.

Who are you trying to kid?

I don't think that I need to add to what has already been stated by others about the illegality of the OP business.

This website offers free tickets for London 2012, and is probably a scam. It is an offence under the Olympic Games and Paralympic Games Act 2006 to claim tickets. The police forces that got involved are the Metropolitan Police and the New Zealand Police.
You can check to see if it is a unauthorised website.

In no way does eSeats participate in fraud. The rules related to the resale of tickets is LIMITED in scope to the home country of the Olympic host. As the resale of tickets is 100% legal in the USA, we are in no way breaking any laws by assisting individuals who want to buy or sell London Olympic tickets. eSeats.com has been a leader within our industry in the fight against credit card and other types of fraud, so the notion that we are involved in fraudulent activities is just nonsense. We have been in business since 2001 and maintain an A+ Rated from the BBB with a great reputation from customers and peers within our industry. We are also members in good standing with the NATB which is the Good Housekeeping Seal of Approval for our industry. "
