Introduction:
Hello!
Our website, isearch.babylon.com, has recently received a decrease in site ranking, and we'd officially like to request that you reconsider the matter.
isearch.babylon is a reliable search engine homepage, where users can receive search results to their queries.
It's content is both adult and child friendly.
The website does not contain excessive advertising or spam, and does not provide unwanted installations.
On the contrary, it provides users with the added benefit of text translation along with their search queries, when requested.
Given the above, we request that you please reconsider your decision, and reinstate our ranking.
Thank you!

Hello Amobirius,
Customers have the option to choose whether they wish to install our toolbar and search page, when they install our translation software.
If they do not wish to download those two items, they can choose not to do so by unchecking the appropriate box.
If from any reason the search page was set as your homepage, we'll be glad to help you remove it.
You can contact us at help@babylon.com or at support@babylon.com, and we'll be glad to help you with any issue that you encountered.
Anyway, this site does not contain spam, has no issues regarding its "child-friendliness," and is there to serve the needs of the general public. This is a Google syndicated search page. All queries performed on it fetches results directly from Google API, making it similar to getting results from Google.

But the install options are pre-ticked which most users will leave ticked.

i fully agree, a better option would be opt in
Though the idea that [cite]we'll be glad to help you remove it.[/cite] leads me to believe that there is a problem with the download
I imagine most people will feel the same way

Agreed. Toolbar I think may be conduit based. Not sure though.

Blacklisted by scumwatch along with many other babylon domains: http://echosoft-scumwatch.weebly.com/3/ ... -2012.html
(And yes, I changed the domain name.)

Sorry about that - I was trying to switch to a domain that more fit the website's purpose - Scumwatch. But it's such a pain to verify myself as site owner, so I changed the domain name back to the old one. So it's http://echosoft.weebly.com/scumwatch-database.html

Babylon is STILL wasting peoples time

Post by phantazm » Fri Oct 19, 2012 9:59 am

It's only a few months ago I met Babylon again.
And the occasion was exactly the same as last time:

Babylon was installed without the user knowing it.
Babylon was installed without the user wanting it.
And getting rid of Babylon is still a convoluted excercise.

So, my [red]rating[/red] stays...
