Great
snag domains and subdomains without any knowledge of what they do
Just because Microsoft or Google or whomever may own a domain does NOT ensure privacy nor safety of a surfer
For example:
clk.atdmt.com
is a "click-through"
in other words this takes parameters from a URI of a previous domain/subdomain and forces your browser to visit yet another.
Exampe:
szpbt.fgsdgsdag.tk
redirects to:
domain.dot.tk
which in turn redirects to:
bridge.ame.admarketplace.net
which redirects to:
clk.atdmt.com
which redirects to (in my last "visit")
monster.com
This is a tracking domain
atdmt.com
clk.atdmt.com
Try this URL:
Use an extension such as TamperData
or _look_ in your browser history as well as your cookies
and "see" all those trackers / redirectors
Microsoft creates OS
and a browser
and office software
They also aggregate data telling you "no information is collected"
while storing, indexing, and associating users, their browsing, their habits, and their location
It's called finger printing (search the forum)
Does anyone ever check these before jumping on the MRT bandwagon?
How many other references in this thread should be ... removed and rated correctly for what they do rather than who owns them?

You're kidding right?
Have you ever visited this site?
Many companies claim "Microsoft Certified" on AV/anti-malware while we know that statement represents marketing and has nothing to do with being endorsed by MS.

Microsoft is not responsible for partner offerings listed on this site.
So why is an area infested by direct-sales (snail mail market) trustworthy because it's a 3rd-party vendor list?

The thing about the MRT is that you're allowed to have 3 comments (different categories)..
It's interesting to see people rating "Good site" in 2012/2013
who also commented "Spyware / Adware" in 2009/2010/2011/2012
This is yet another reason to visit / verify a domain from a list within these forums before mass-rating it.
To have contradictory comment categories by the same individual, looks ...

Wait, "azure.com" is owned by Microsoft Corporation, isn't it?
And then what's wrong with datamarket.azure.com?

You really should visit the sites before announcing them in a public list where most never actually visit what they're rating...
Visit it: datamarket.azure.com/browse/applications
and read the Terms as well: datamarket.azure.com/terms

RE: Websites owned by Microsoft Corp
There is one site I would rate as ethical issues from microsoft too.
scroogled.com
I remember when it first started with shopping, did not know about mail but just heard last week about them now attacking the play store with more "scroogled" news about sharing your personal information to app makers.
I find this unethical because it is unfair competition.

RE: Websites owned by Microsoft Corp
I agree. While they are putting out some relevant and useful information the manor they use many times is pretty crude and unprofessional.
RE: Websites owned by Microsoft Corp
This is a good list of all the safe sites. I will rate these in next few days.
