Re: "not that interested"

I'm not that interested, either. However, this "Terry" guy does seem to be someone to avoid, especially since he seems to use so many aliases that I begin to doubt that he even knows who he is any more. What really clinched it for me was "Terry's" claim that WOT had caused him to have a near-fatal heart attack, and his pretending to be some sort of (unregistered) Legal Beagle (which is clearly a criminal offence).

Ermm Am I missing something

Ermm Am I missing something here? I see a one sided arguement and replies to some 'Terry' yet I don't see his input here!

As for the Data Protection Service. If you read their site and have been involved in persuing a company or person through them, you will know that they make every effort to educate the company/person and correct any wrong doings. They will only take legal action against companies or persons when they have exhaused all other measures and the said parties are constantly refusing to abide or continue to break the laws of this Act.

No wonder people flout legislation so easily as the UK is too soft with them.

@ dan2k9

Legal action in a civil court will certainly cost money, about £5k just to start proceedings using a barrister then will rapidly mount up. Legal aid will not be available for this type of case. Be careful what you say as you have given this Terry notification of your plans where he will then remove any incriminating posts which will probably decrease the possability of presenting admissable proof of wrong doings in the court and impact on any investigation authorities may conduct.

The points above has been my experience during the last 6 years of dealing with civil Courts, barristers in a long running Civil matter that recently ended in my success.

Likewise this knowledge of the Data protection Service was gained when I persued a company for outright breech of my PII. It was not satisfactorily concluded and the company concerned were slapped on the wrist so to speak.

@ BobJam

Thanks. Am beginning to wish I had simply just skipped reading this thread. This Terry seems to be one of the many parasites that abuse the Internet and people.

I am not really that interested in what is going on here. I recall a small bit from the old topic which was linked to me by dan2k9 but nothing more. think I will just move on and let the parties fight it out.

Thanks Dan2k9
