Looks like someone found a way to make money on Chinese sites other then the Chinese.

They had been spamming the Firetrust forum, had that removed.
Going to do more digging when I get the time, but feel free to jump on it.

will not work without the www, found that odd too.

My web host had an option to enable or disable the www at the beginning of my address. Normally it works either way. It does seem odd that a spam site would take the time to enable it.

Some of the things that bother me upfront other then them spamming the forum at Firetrust is the undisclosed Whois, and that you can pay them instead of the companies in China directly. You can send them a list of what your looking for and they will give you prices that you can only get if you purchase through them. Sound like dirty hands to me.

The more I look at this site... the more it smell like Limburger cheese. (no offense to our Limburger cheese eating Germans here)

Given it's name, I am sure this website was founded with good intentions , WOT (Web Of Trust) but without being disrespectful if this website is going to be credible and effective the contents of posts should have credibility and be based on solid evidence as opposed to subjective opinons divorced from the facts, fantasy and conspiracy theories.

I work for in the UK. Members of this forum have given the company an adverse rating on wholly spurious grounds without proper investigation . Please at least do your "digging" before you post comments on any subject and ascertain the facts about companies before you smear them unfairly.

We are a legitimate company in the UK with credit and debit card Merchant Bank services which can only be obtained following careful detailed financial and character checks undertaken by the merchant service provider which in our case is Nat West Bank. For those that may not know, only acredited companies and websites can accept online payment for goods and services in the UK where our company is based, Our website is not a free website nor is it free hosted and furthermore, our merchant service provider, Nat West Bank, insists that our website is fully encrypted otherwise we could not accept secure online payments and we have to comply with the UK Data Protection Act and the Financial Services Act amongst others.

We offer a secure supplier checking service and a product sourcing service to buyers of products from China to enable them to avoid the potential fraud which is so prevalent in that country and in view of the nature of our business you will understand that our reputation & integrity is important and that's why I am dispelling some of the ridiculous unfounded gossip in this forum. I don't believe that intelligent contributors to this forum deliberately intend to damage the reputation of legitimate websites and businesses but that is ultimately the inevitable consequence of posting without due dilligence.

It's not unreasonable to ask that contributors to this worthwhile forum should at least do proper research on their chosen subject before posting comments on it otherwise this will be just another gossip website full of idle chit chat.

All was checked I assure you, and at that time your page was not secure.
So your trying to pull a fast one.
Granted your certificate was issued 5 days prior to my post, nothing was linked at that time. (That I assure everyone, and they know I am thorough.)
Also as a member of FireTrust forums, you did spam.
A business with an undisclosed whois is also not very trustworthy.
You collect Personally Identifiable Information, Yet have NO PRIVACY POLICY!
You have NO Detailed TERMS of SERVICE. listed on footer just a tiny little 200x50px I frame.
Would you like a new review then ask, after you admit.
Maybe you are the one that needs to be honest here.

Update: Notice on main page: Step Two leads to Order a Check, by a standard http protocol not a secure https one.
Update: Notice all footer links to Order a Check are also not secured!

OK . . . I think I found the problem

Post by Guest » Sat Oct 23, 2010 10:16 am and are two different sites.

Destination Truth: "will not work without the www, found that odd too."
I indeed was able to get it to "work" without the www (I assume you mean you are getting a "server not found" warning or something like that when you try it without the www?)

The site (the one without the www) is in fact the one that is on the scorecard thumbnail description, but if you enter and use the WOT add on to check the scorecard, you get the exact same scorecard as (Perhaps that's why you smelled Limburger cheese, Heidi)., without the www, is at IP and appears to be shared.

OTOH, for www, the IP is and appears to be dedicated.

If you look at the robtex listings for both sites, you can see they are quite different (look at the graph tabs): .and .

Both servers are located in the UK . . . look at and then look at .

The two are entirely different. Mistakenly, is getting the ratings intended for

This is what I've found so far, but there are still mysteries to be solved and I may have this upside down . . . it was a quick and dirty dig. Perhaps someone more skilled than I am, like g7w, can carry this further and explain better.
