Profile request: Clear board

Post by c۞g » Sun Apr 20, 2014 3:07 pm

Could a Clear board link be provided next to the existing Show more link which, if clicked would mass-delete all posts on a user's board?
I suppose a verification would be in order for those who may click this by mistake.

I currently have 127 pages of posts/replies dating back to June of 2009.
To currently delete them, I have to hover over each post and click the Delete link. This is very time consuming...

No Staff reply :/

Could someone simply wipe my user board to 0 posts if a mechanism is not going to be created for me to wipe it myself?

Sorry for late reply. I like this idea and it's added to our TODO list. I hope we get it done this week or early next week.

Thats a great suggestion - deleting each comment manually takes lot of time.

Finally this feature is ready. Let me know if you encounter any problems.

Thank you
It's nice to have a "house cleaning tool."

I can't access my board at all! It's just blank with no way to edit it ...

You´ve disallowed posting on your board.

Got to profile settings, then tick "Allow others to write on my board" box. Scroll down the page and click "Submit".

Otherwise you can´t manage existing messages on your board (if any). Also, you will not be able to post on your board.

That's insane.
The "Allow others" is supposed to control whether or not you allow other users to post, assuming you do not have the MRT in which case others may post but never "publicly" (one cannot untick the private check box).

A user should be able to view, delete, mass-delete current posts regardless if their board is open to the public or not.
One should also be able to post a public message on their own board.
