Finally and in addition to complete mess, there is also a lot of advertisement on WOT :D Many-many doubled "install" buttons and dubious unpredictable links to advertisers (I do not believe in fairytales about safe google ads, yes)

They didn't even update their Privacy Policy in regard to this.

You missed this https://i.imgur.com/lDmwdqP.png

I do hope no-one is dumb enough to pay for this garbage!
Site reputations are more inaccurate than they ever were, and bugs reported since 2016 have not been fixed. Good / safe businesses are being hurt by poor Wot ratings, whilst many scammers have good ratings. I advise all affected site owners to contact Facebook's CEO in regard to its misguided use of Wot, and not to advertise on there.

Staff refuse to give members access to their previous ratings (other than the most recent few) so they can correct / update any that are now incorrect.
I deleted my rating account again recently, and I will not use the site until it's been sold to a reputable / reliable company.

For anyone who still trusts Wot - they don't want the public to know of the ongoing issues here and have asked mods not to report problems on the forum. However, support mostly fob me off when I do email them in regard to issues.

@ Wot
You've forgotten that I'm not one of your employees, I'm here to help / protect the users (unlike Wot), and believe they have a right to know that you can't be trusted to protect their privacy.

Does Wot have permission from it's Trusted Sources to generate an income using their blacklists towards determining reputations?

I'm done with this misleading service - what a waste of over 12 years work by good hearted volunteers!

Its all clear. Lack of communication with users (pretending to communicate, in fact is just imitation of communication - it is ridiculous when you report a bug on forum, instead of taking into account your post they just make you resend your bug report over email and finally they do not respond,naturally no bugs resolved).Silently, without notifying members releasing "new features" - in fact something crappy as a result leading to even more bugs plus become existing ones to even worst,removal (destroying)of important functions. New dubious scheme of monetization such as making money on everything possible-starting from insane amount of questionable banners on every scorecard and ending with selling API at crazy pricing.

This is enough to make certain conclusion:they are interested only in making money, community is just only option to reach that target.

congratulations WOT with potentially dangerous XSS attacks on scorecards! https://imgur.com/1iuFtCT
never seen that before. What is bannerflow.com? Kind of suspicious banner network. what is next surprise from WOT team - popup ads with casino and porn? selling users scores? reputation remedy for $199/month? no matter, its time to make money.

also if I click ok in the warning windows - it reappears again and again.

This is a false positive by Noscript. Previously there were multiple real XSS/SQL vulnerabilities that were not being fixed since 2013, see openbugbounty.org/search/?search=mywot.com&researcher=&program=
I'm sure there are more because the devs couldn't even fix them on the first try & no adequate researchers want to deal with such dummies.

Wow.
{I hesitate to mention the following, lest my very mention cause it to vanish ...}

IN THE PAST, we were able to rate/comment on Twitter accounts, subdirectories represented as encoded subdomains of Twitter:
_p_irqw4u3dmf3gs3tp.twitter.com = twitter.com/DanScavino

Briefly: In the interregnum between past and future WoT, we lost the Twitter account evaluation feature, which collapsed to rating only twitter.com, and hundreds of thousands of such evaluations appeared to be irretrievably lost.

Just now, I visited the above account in Chrome in Windows 10 and what, to my wondering eyes, should appear but a cautionary yellow/orange ribbon from the WoT extension proclaiming
"Careful! This site is suspicious. [VIEW FULL REPORT] Don't warn me about this site again."

This tells me a few things.
1: Twitter account evaluations, in whatever form, exist.
2: At least some (is All too much to hope?) past evaluations still exist, because I'm reasonably certain I have never evaluated the above account since it did not come to my attention until after WoT's interregnum.
3: Accounts "twitter.com/user" can once again be evaluated separately from the root domain "twitter.com" - I tested this by variously rating twitter.com, twitter.com/userA, and twitter.com/userB with radically different scores, and the scores remained intact and distinct.

So, considering this and other recent efforts, at this moment I must compliment WoT's current devs for their tenacity at resuscitating WoT.

I would however be remiss if I failed to mention that
_p_mrqw443dmf3gs3tp.twitter.com = twitter.com/danscavino
has a separate and considerably different rating - likely the default rating of twitter.com. This is an older pending issue:

The number of upper- and lower-case permutations of username "user" equals the square of the number of alphabetic characters in the username; as a consequence, there are 16 distinct scorecards for
_ _ user
_ _ User uSer usEr useR
_ _ USer UsEr UseR uSEr uSeR usER
_ _ USEr USeR UsER uSER
_ _ USER
Thus all Twitter usernames should be converted to lower-case before creating or retrieving corresponding scorecards. Existing scorecards for mixed-case usernames should be merged as single scorecards for each lower-case username.

Can not delete post

Post by A440 » Thu Sep 17, 2020 12:39 pm

I was attempting to delete a reply to a topic I started but only got back this from the site:
Information

Sorry but you may only delete posts which have not been replied to.
This should be fixed since sometimes a poster may decided to delete something they had posted.

What post do you want to delete? If it's sensitive, reply by PM.

Heavens, it's not sensitive :) , it just that I realized, after the fact that the site has been retired, thus rating it is a moot point.
It was this posting: https://forum.mywot.com/reputation-discussions-f5/rumour-gossip-and-fake-news-sites-t71902-s130.html#p275112
The listing for "truthrevolt.org".

I've removed the comment from that thread, although it may continue to appear in the index of your forum posts. "Obsolete" comments are sometimes helpful for research purposes, though. I usually prefer to edit my old comments to update them instead of deleting them.
