Currently, there are no search providers for MyWOT in Internet Explorer or in Firefox, and it would be nice to add one in instead of going into mywot.com and needing to type in the website through there.
Search Providers are the search engine bars on the top right of the browser beside your address bar.
However, it can be made with Internet Explorer (8b2 I have tried)
1. Go to http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/searchguide/en-en/default.mspx
2. Locate Create your own
3. Below Paste the URL of the Search results page URL, paste in "http://www.mywot.com/en/scorecard/TEST" (must be TEST, no lowercase)
4. Name it
5. Click Install
6. Click Add Provider (optional: make it a default)
7. IE will now have a search provider for MyWOT!
With Mozilla Firefox, I am not sure.
Create a Search Provider
Search provider.
Great idea, Reprotected.
I only use the fox, and it has a search feature for (pssst: whisper ... SA)
Stay safe!

Smart Keywords in Firefox
There's a neat feature in Firefox called smart keywords, which allows you to create a shortcut for any search field:
to the address bar to open the scorecard for example.com.
This seems to always load the front page first, which makes the operation just a bit slower, so instead, you may want to create your own bookmark, which opens the scorecard directly:
on the address bar takes you directly to the scorecard.
- Open the front page and right click the search field on the top right corner.
- Select "Add a Keyword for this Search" from the pop-up menu.
- Type in a name for the bookmark and select a keyword for it. For example, the letter
will do.
Code: Select all
s
- Click "Add" to save the bookmark.
Code: Select all
s example.com

- Choose a name for the bookmark. I used WOT Scorecards, but the name doesn't really matter.
- Type in
to the Location field. Here,
Code: Select all
http://www.mywot.com/scorecard/%s
will be replaced with the host name when you use the bookmark.Code: Select all
%s
- For the Keyword field, choose any keyword you like, I still prefer
, but if you used that one already, choose a different keyword or delete the other bookmark.
Code: Select all
s
- Click "Add" to save the bookmark.
Code: Select all
s example.com
